It’s true. You can get paid for taking surveys. There are companies that will pay for your time and opinions. There are two types: Focus Groups and Online Survey Companies
A Focus Group is when you go to a location to test a product and give your opinion on the product. Sometimes you will see people at malls with clipboards coming up to you to ask you a few questions.
If you have the spare time, they will usually pay you a few dollars to taking the time.
Focus groups will bring you and have you try out something, for example one that I did was on spaghetti sauce. We tried a few different pastas with sauce and had to fill out little surveys about your thoughts on the taste and more. You would then cleanse your pallet and move on to the next one. Total time it took was about 2 hours from start to finish. Total payout for 2 hours of my time: $40
Online Survey Companies range from those that you fill out simple surveys to sending you a product to try at home and then filling out surveys after you have used them. There are also companies that pay you to use their surf sites. They then study the content of what you are searching and by using them, you earn a small amount of money.
